At salon 33, we are working hard to be the change we wish to see in the beauty industry.

The way we see it, the Aveda mission to care for the world we live in starts at home - inside the walls of our own salon. That’s why we strive to provide our staff and stylists with the education, support, and work environment that they need to be happy, fulfilled, and in love with their jobs. We know that our guests count on us to be experts in our field and on top of all of the latest trends, which is why we prioritize continued high-quality education for our entire team. We also believe that treating our staff and stylists with dignity and respect goes a long way toward building a cohesive team who will take pride in their work - whether that means giving them the agency to build their own schedules and take time for rest and self care, or providing access to quality healthcare so that they can bring the best, healthiest version of themselves to work each day.

We believe that happy and empowered stylists are the best way to ensure that we have happy, truly satisfied guests.

In addition to our commitment to our team, we are also committed to our community. Our goal is for our salon to be a truly safe and welcoming place for all members of our community, regardless of their ethnicity, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, gender identity, or political affiliation. We work diligently to ensure that all of our guests feel welcome and seen within our salon, and walk out of our doors feeling like the best version of themselves. In addition to working hard for our community within the salon, we also partner with a number of great organizations to help care for others. One partnership which is very close to our hearts here at Salon 33 is working with St. Baldrick’s to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer research. Finally, a large part of what makes Aveda different from other beauty brands is our commitment to environmental sustainability. Aveda works tirelessly to ensure that all of our ingredients are sourced from around the world in ethical and sustainable ways, and all of our products are produced using clean wind power! At Salon 33, we are applying Aveda’s larger commitment to sustainability to our daily operations. Starting in the summer of 2019, Salon 33 began partnering with an amazing organization called Greencircle Salons to divert the vast majority of our salon waste from landfills into programs where it can be reused and repurposed in sustainable and innovative ways. For example, did you know that the hair from your latest trim could help clean up oil spills in the oceans, or be broken down to create eco-friendly bioplastics? Or that the leftover color from your most recent highlight service could be scraped from the bowl and used to help power wind turbines?

If you have questions about our commitment to care for the world we live in, we encourage you to ask your stylist, or send us an email using the form at the bottom of this page. We would love to hear from you!
